Just can't seem to shake the image

Recently, someone was speaking of their trip to Vegas and how lifeless the individuals seemed as they sat at the "slot machine". No emotions, automatic in their movements, "It was like the life was being sucked out of them" was the description he gave. When I step back and see all the other arenas where we seem to be "feeding" an endless pit and how this act seems to be a fabric of our society, I quiver. What business, industry, organization is not asking us to feed them? It is not the same role we are placing Mother Earth in? Constantly pulling, taking, consuming from her without asking for any interaction, feeling, or an exchange of any kind. Is it not time to help her to step back, catch her breath and be honored?

Learning to step back

It is so fascinating to be that in my world a similar theme contains the message of stepping back rather it is due to physical exhaustion, the acceptance that I cannot control everything, that everyone has their own opinion, that in the greater scheme of things all is controlled by Spirit. Thankfully, I am becoming more gracious in the acceptance of those stubbed toes, oh No's and exhales. Blessings to all.

Powerful words and meaning.

Who was the originator of competition in our world and life. It is so hard to work with others without a feeling of threat occurring amongst one party. We are all in this together and we need to stop feeling like one has something over the other. Does it really matter how we get to a point? Just join in (if the action is one you are pulled towards) and join forces. The power begins as the collaboration develops. All can win and benefit. It is not time to see the power we hold as individuals and what we can achieve as a combined group.

It is truly hard to believe how quickly time passes. Be patient, I am still connected to this journey. My time has been spent being totally in awe of this amazing place we inhabit. What has been my ah moment has been this increase awareness that we are everything and everything is us. What we feel, we will see. We do not exist nor work alone. Giving awareness and gratitude to the elements, nature, and beings around us only makes us stronger, more focused, happier. I am for all of that. Peace and goodwill to you all.

Have we lost ourselves?

This opinion by Dr. Erich Fromn stuck me and even scared me. Where are we? How many live this world? Here is his opinion:

"A man sits in front of a bad television program and does not know that he is bored; He reads of war casualties in the newspaper and does not recall the teachings of religion; He learns of the danger of nuclear holocaust and does not feel fear; He joins the rat race of commerce, where personal worth in measured in terms of market value, and is not aware of his anxiety."

So as I ponder "fare forward" here are the images that comes to mind. Picture a wheel moving down a hill. In the old adage "fare well". The wheel gathers many historical events, sounds, images, themes and becomes hard press to make any lead way. Moving some, becoming stand still, wavering, supported by others. Now when one ponders "fare forward". Imagine the wheel moving at its own speed, throwing off images, etc, when they do not fit/no longer serve and overall creates its own/individual motion, speed and journey.

seems forever

Feels like it has been forever since I visited with you. What a month. How has yours gone? There seems to have been alot of illness and injury in my family and it leave me feeling rather tired and endless. Death and disease is certainly part of the living process and many messages, decisions and uncertainty follows with it. I keep reminding myself and truly believe that everything has its part in our journey and maybe its just that, living the journey as focused and secure as we can. Blessings to you all.

Lets talk talents

I recently read a spiritual message from "Alive Now" written by Steve Garnaas-Holmes regarding talents. It reports a concept I have been considering for sometime and it is a perceptual shift from seeing oneself as a servant of ideas and concepts to seeing oneself as central with the concepts and ideas as options. And as Pastor Garnaas-Holmes puts it "we are not the salves, we are the talents". The specialness of each of us is what is necessary for our worlds' development and evolution. The ideas and concepts and rules and procedures and .....
are only that, they should not replace what we are here to do, who we are, what we have come to offer, etc. We may use these man made "guidelines" to shape our talents or not, but they are not the essential part. You are.. So what are your talents and what is keeping you from presenting them to others and the world?

Futher insights into protection

On my way to work this day, I saw a grouping of geese and recalled my earlier note on protection. This earlier note clearly presents a mirror to how I was seeing the world. (You will also note the power of awareness once you acknowledge or voice something, a shift will begin). My earlier not competely positive feelings about protection, today became a defination of a helpful watchful eye.

Seeing this grouping of geese, some sitting on the ground and others standing, watching and observing the outer area shifted this definition. The protection I observed today, allowed others to complete their desired/needed tasks in safety with little regarded to happenings outside themselves. This definition is much more palliative to me than a sense of being weak and not completely able to care for myself. For how can I take care of myself and be mindful of everything around me?

So this brings me to another view of my world, how many watchful eyes are holding this beautiful world of ours together. I have heard of groups of people who hold our world in the light and others who process pain and still others whose mission is for peace and empowerment and still others who are watchful of our assets and livelihoods. My gratitude and honoring is extended to you.
